Overview

The S.M.S.L R100 is a desktop R2R DAC that bridges the gap between classic analog warmth and modern digital performance. Powered by dual ADI AD1861-J chips, a patented de-glitch architecture, and a self-developed low-jitter clock algorithm, the R100 delivers an organic, natural, and fatigue-free listening experience — engineered for audiophiles who demand both emotional musicality and acoustic precision.

Over USB, the R100 supports PCM from 44.1kHz up to 768kHz and DSD from 2.8224MHz up to 22.5792MHz (up to DSD512), plus DoP. Optical and coaxial inputs support PCM up to 192kHz and DSD64 (DoP). It provides both XLR and RCA outputs (XLR 3.5Vrms / RCA 1.75Vrms) with an output impedance of 33Ω, a THD+N of 0.003% (-90dB), and XLR/RCA dynamic range and SNR of 107dB / 108dB.

Housed in a precision CNC-machined aluminum chassis with transparent viewing windows, the R100 features an input switch, EQ switch, display, and standby indicator on the front panel, with a driver-free Web-based PEQ for easy adjustment. At 170×39.8×136mm and 712g / 1.57lbs, with AC 100-240V power input, it fits neatly into any desktop hi-fi setup.
