Overview

The SMSL VMV D3R is a new-generation flagship DAC and preamplifier designed for high-end Hi-Fi systems. Built around two ROHM BD34302EKV DAC chips, it combines a high-performance digital conversion stage with a fully balanced analog volume control circuit, allowing the D3R to function as a true preamplifier. With THD+N as low as 0.00013% (-117dB), it is engineered to deliver highly transparent and precise audio reproduction.

At the heart of the D3R is SMSL's self-developed CK-04 clock processing circuit, together with a built-in ±3ppb 10MHz OCXO crystal oscillator for exceptionally precise clock performance. The D3R also supports external 10MHz clock and atomic clock input, making it suitable for advanced audio systems that require precise clock synchronization.

The D3R offers extensive connectivity through USB, I²S, AES/EBU, optical, coaxial, and Bluetooth inputs, with MQA decoding supported across multiple digital inputs. Its latest-generation Qualcomm Bluetooth platform supports LDAC, aptX, aptX HD, SBC, and AAC. A 3.49-inch fully bonded tempered-glass display, redesigned multi-language interface, linear power supply, and multi-channel low-noise regulation complete the D3R's premium design.
